Sorry, just a little rant about River.
Seriously, guys, I apologize to all the pro-Rivers out there, but I really can’t stand her. I know it’s not her fault that she was brainwashed and brought up to kill the Doctor, and that she fell in love with him, obviously and inevitably, but I can’t help but find her so dramatic. And it still bugs me that after al this time, she doesn’t understand that the Doctor just doesn’t love her back. He marries her because he has to, and he helps her and rescues her because he cares. But at the same time, I just get the feeling that he finds her so selfish and almost… pathetic? I really sound harsh, but she gets on my nerves. And I don’t really get in The Doctor’s Name that whole deal with him kissing her - why? That’s why I quite liked the idea that popped up about the Doctor kissing not River, but Clara’s mind. (Very sexy idea, I must admit). She’s just always there and helping but not helping and I don’t know. I just don’t like her.
PS, If I read one more “I hate Martha Jones” posts, I’ll set something on fire - she was one of the bravest companions ever - she saved the world from the Master, guys, why does no one remember this?!
